Lodoss: Other Elven Settlements

Kanon Forests

Location: Southeastern Kanon
Inhabitants: (orig. common elves) dark elves, goblins, native wildlife
Villages: Elven Village

The forests of Kanon, while they have no ancient tree, had been home to common elves for many, many generations. However, when the Marmo invaded Kanon, dark elves invaded these forests. Many common elves were slaughtered, but some managed to flee Kanon. Most of the refugees went to the Mirror Forest. The dark elves took up residence in the Kanon forests, finding a little home away from home. At the war's end, many dark elves returned home to Marmo, but some had brought their families and anticipated the Marmo to actually conquer Lodoss. Some common elves returned to retake their forest and forced most of the dark elves out, though there are still dark elves lurking in the forest.

Fairy Woods

Location: Blue Dragon Island
Inhabitants: Dark elves, centaurs, fairies, native wildlife
Villages: Dark Elven Village, Centaur Village

The Fairy Woods of Blue Dragon Island were first home to a marooned tribe of centaurs, and a few hundred years later, they were joined by a clan of dissenting dark elves. These dark elves had forsaken Falaris and chose to live in the light. Finding no suitable home on Lodoss, they found the Fairy Woods on Blue Dragon Island. No humans would dare trespass there, all they had to do was convince the centaurs of their peaceful intentions. Now, these dark elves and centaurs co-exist much in the way of the Glassy Woods elves and centaurs. They live separately as well, each with their own village.

Raiden Woods

Location: South of Raiden
Inhabitants: Dark elves, half-elves, humans, native wildlife
Villages: One nameless village

Over the centuries, many dark elves have been outcast from their people for dissenting opinions and loving humans. Many of them, especially the latter, found a home far away, in a forest just outside Raiden. There is nothing special about this forest, unlike the slightly enchanted Fairy Woods. However, it is close to Raiden, where anyone can find a home. Many dark elves with human spouses and half-elven children have found themselves a peaceful home in this tiny village. This community is led by an elder dark elven woman named Liora.
